Born out of an initial conversation between Essential Artists Dayton co-creator Peter Benkendorf and Timothy Wells, founder of Art Around Town, “unchARTeDayton” is a new podcast, co-hosted by Wells and artist Craig Tirey, whose studio “Slow Down Cowboy” is located at Front Street Studios. 

 

Craig and Tim had only met a few times before they sat down to record their first episode. It's pretty uncommon for podcast co-hosts to be unfamiliar with each other, but that's part of the magic of unchARTeDayton. They wanted the podcast to be free-flowing and unscripted, with no standard set of questions—just natural conversations with artists about art, like the ones you might have in a coffee shop or bar.
